Working in tandem with the Product Development team and reporting into the Company Director, ANZ, the purpose of this key role is to drive forward our creativity across all our licensed consumer products. This is a broad design role requiring the perfect candidate to be hands-on in the design and development of product concepts. The role will push the boundaries of our design assets and art offerings for our licensees across all our properties/IP, as well as providing a directional lead for our licensees.


• Develop brand expertise to help drive the consumer products business forward through exceptional creative asset creation and consumer product design.

• Responsible for driving new product opportunities - conceptualising and designing compelling product ranges, applying strategic thinking to consumer products and visualising ground breaking licensed products.

• Work with top brand partners in all consumer products sectors; from fashion and home, toys, food and beverage as well as marketing and retail.

• Co-ordinate internally with cross-functional partners on new projects and design development.

• Develop and deliver compelling, fresh licensing style guide assets across all consumer products categories and for a broad range of genres.

• Identify new trends and innovation across multiple categories and properties.

• Create and build new ideas into marketable product lines for existing properties and new initiatives.

• Responsible for managing creative agencies, freelancers and design vendors across design projects.



• Design experience in the Consumer Products industry with either a licensor or a manufacturer.

• Proven ability and keen interest in designing for traditional character licensed properties as well as live-action entertainment & lifestyle brands for all audiences.

• Attention to detail, visual communication, concept & graphic design skills will be essential to this role.

• Strong graphics skills including Illustrator and Photoshop software will be essential. Cinema 4D would be a plus.

• Design experience in developing style guides, trend tool-kits, creative assets & communication tools.

• Must have experience of localising assets from global style guides and creating localised asset / design solutions for the ANZ market.

• Confident, outgoing with strong negotiation skills and ability to influence across company divisions, managing multiple third parties, rights owners and filmmakers.

• Strong leadership qualities for leading a team of designers and third-party vendors.

• Experience of fast-fashion would be advantageous.


• Knowledge and interest in film & entertainment brands.

• Ability to think strategically about the changing marketplace & consumer shopping patterns.

• Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discreet manner.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver clear and consistent art direction to many stakeholders.

• Well versed in dealing with senior leadership, outside 3rd parties, talent and international contacts.

• Commercially aware individual with proven ability to execute against creative strategy.

• Proven record of working cross functionally with colleagues.

• Ability to identify key priorities within a heavy workload and execute on them.
