Purpose



This production engineering position provides mission critical broadcast support of a 24x7x365 sports production facility. Candidates will have an in-depth knowledge of studio production systems, IP networks, and infrastructure within a production facility and will resolve user issues quickly by performing problem analysis and resolution of server-based record and playout systems, encoders/decoders, SDI and IP video routers, fiber transport, intercom, tally, and digital audio networks.

**Responsibilities**

• Provide premier technical support for studio and control room production systems. Perform system design, installation, trouble shooting, equipment upgrades, and calibration. Support on-air production by quickly determining the causes of technical problems and correcting them.

• Monitor and adjust production systems to meet accepted industry standards using diagnostic tools, including SDI scopes, audio/data/color analyzers, and IP-based tools and applications.

• Participate in technical projects through design, installation, testing, and implementation phases.

• Use vendor-specific system software (i.e.Evertz, RTS, GV) to fulfill operator route and assignment requests.

• Accurately report and track support requests through to completion, providing follow up communication to the customer and status to other engineers.

• Perform repair of audio & video production equipment, including repairs at the system and board levels.

• Create and redline technical diagrams using AutoCAD.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting a broadcast or IT-related video production facility.

• Experience supporting broadcast equipment from Evertz, EVS, Sony, Calrec, Lawo, GV, Miranda, Image Video

• Knowledge of IP networks, LANs, switches, routers, and network diagnostic applications

• Must have strong technical skills, be resourceful and self-motivated, and possess excellent

• documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours to support a 24x7 production operation.

• Lift up to 40 lbs., climb ladders and use/drive studio scissor lifts.
