**Responsibilities**

Purpose

This freelance engineering role provides broadcast support of a 24x7x365 sports production facility. A working knowledge of studio production systems, IP networks, and infrastructure within a production facility is required, as this position assists in resolving technical problems with production systems in a timely fashion.



Responsibilities



+ Provide timely technical support for studio and control room production systems. Perform installation, trouble shooting, equipment upgrades, and calibration. Support on-air production by quickly determining the causes of technical problems and correcting them.

+ Monitor and adjust production systems to meet accepted industry standards using diagnostic tools, including SDI scopes, audio/data/color analyzers, and IP-based tools and applications.

+ Participate in technical projects through installation and testing phases.

+ Use vendor-specific system software (i.e. Evertz, RTS, GV) to fulfill operator route and assignment requests.

+ Accurately report and track support requests through to completion, providing follow up communication to the customer and status to other engineers.

+ Perform repair of audio & video production equipment, including repairs at the system and board levels.

+ Redline technical diagrams.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Basic Qualifications



+ Working knowledge of broadcast and IP networks within a production facility.

+ Ability to quickly perform problem analysis and resolution of graphics servers, server-based record and playout systems, encoders/decoders, SDI and IP based video routers, fiber transport, and digital audio networks.

+ Skillset should include installing, troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining production or broadcast systems; participating in systems design or project management; and performing preventative maintenance.Eligibility Requirements
