The Program Manager, International IT will be responsible for planning and delivery of multiple technology initiatives for the Universal Beijing Project. This role will be a mix of hands-on project management, product management, and system/infrastructure implementation aligned to a strategic business roadmap. This individual will provide technology support for Universal Creative (Beijing Team), Universal Parks & Resorts, and other external partners working on the development of the new project. S/He will drive technical strategy, architecture decisions, and development; and manage technical project resources.

The individual will focus on developing detailed plans to implement systems/infrastructure aligned to multiple business groups like construction & development, guest services, revenue operations, food & beverage, technical services, and others. This role will include developing code, code reviews, writing test scripts, architecture/technology decisions, programming tasks; in addition to creating project plans, resource plans, risk identification, risk mitigation, and timelines.

This is a key position on a lean team and will require an individual that can work effectively & positively in a highly complex and dynamic working environment. S/he will be asked to balance a broad set of priorities and ensure progress is made on all tracks of work.


+ IT System/Infrastructure Delivery:

+ Partner with development team(s) to deliver new business capabilities through system implementations:

+ Develop & manage project plans, GANT charts and user stories;

+ Run SCRUM meetings and Stand-ups and IPM’s and maintain the AGILE methodologies;

+ Manage the complete application & infrastructure development process including planning, design, implementation, testing, debugging and tuning, as well as iterative post-production enhancements for both “buy” or “build” solutions;

+ Technical project/program management:

+ Assess project/program progress, and provide status updates to leadership;

+ Evaluate project risk(s) and effectively create mitigation plans;

+ Collaborate with business users, internal and external technology teams in order to deliver a scalable application that exceeds requirements ensuring compliance with enterprise standards;

+ Establish good working relationships with project sponsors & external partners from business and technology groups;

+ Drive and influence technology decisions regarding architecture, including data structures and algorithms; ensure information security & privacy policies are adhered to;

+ Technology leadership:

+ Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software; contribute technically to projects;

+ Develop and manage extensible, stable code bases for a variety of applications;

+ Provide technical subject matter and thought leadership within the area of application/infrastructure development weighing the pros/cons of design and technology decisions;

+ Evaluate various frameworks, technology and platforms to deliver world-class systems & infrastructure.

+ Architect cohesive & innovative enterprise solutions that bridge operational systems, business intelligence, mobile & advanced capabilities.

**SCOPE:** Responsible for planning and delivery of multiple technology initiatives for the Universal Beijing project.



+ Minimum 8 -10 years’ experience with systems implementations;

+ Minimum 8 -10 years’ experience with data integration, relational databases, and business applications;

+ Minimum 8 -10 years’ hands on experience with meeting facilitation, task management, time management, taking minutes, managing documentation, and action item management in both formal and informal settings;

+ Hands-on programming experience in an object oriented language such as C++, Java, and/or Ruby on Rails; digital technologies;

+ Experience with web technologies and frameworks (HTML5, CSS, JS, Ajax, JavaScript, JQuery, EXT-JS, GWT, Ruby), integrating with API’s & web services via XML & JSON, architecture for web and mobile devices; UX design;

+ Experience in Theme Parks & Hospitality technology solutions;

+ Experience with digital, mobile, social, and eCommerce technology solutions in China;

+ Experience working in an Agile environment; knowledge of SCRUM framework a plus;

+ Experience with network & hardware infrastructure used in guest facing environments; mobile & wifi infrastructure;

+ Strong understanding of object oriented development, data structures, algorithms, use of design patterns and system;

+ Strong technical understanding of Service Oriented Architecture;

+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills;

+ Self-motivated & accountable, with a high level of commitment to responsibility;

+ Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;

+ Must be process-oriented and able to apply structure to complex problems;

+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with all stake holders;

+ Language – Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English;

+ Desired:

+ Experience working in global organizations.


+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or Engineering (or equivalent relevant work experience).

+ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems is highly desirable.

**EXPERIENCE:** 8 -10 Years of technology experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
