WPBF 25, Hearst’s ABC affiliate in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida has an immediate opening for a highly-motivated Creative Services Writer/Producer/Editor. We are looking for a hands-on producer to write, shoot and edit sweeps, topical, and image promotion for all media platforms. The ideal candidate must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate excellent news/marketing judgment, and can produce dynamic promotional messages. Job Responsibilities:                                     

  • Produce, write, shoot and edit compelling on-air promos and image campaigns from start to finish that generate viewer interest, grow ratings, and increase brand awareness across all platforms.
  • Produce proof of performance promotion showcasing our market-leading news and weather coverage.
  • Use station’s social media and digital platforms to drive audience awareness, viewer engagement, and downloads.
  • Create promotion for programming, special projects, as well a digital sub-channels Estrella TV and The Justice Network.
  • Produce and execute community outreach events, including on-air promotion and event planning.
  • Contribute to brainstorms across all departments

Required Skills

Qualifications Requirements:                                  

  • Strong image and promotion writing skills. Demonstrated ability to write compelling, conversational and brand-centric copy.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of production process including high-end editing, color correction, graphic animations, and sound design.
  • Proficient in videography and lighting.
  • Knowledge of social marketing and content development.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and a flexible schedule.
  • Must have a winning attitude and commitment to excellence.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or some college preferred or equivalent work experience 

Required Experience

Experience Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of television promotion experience preferred.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, and After Effects is a must.
  • Camera and lighting skills preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
