Job Description

WIYY 98 Rock & WBAL News Radio have an opening for a part-time Promotions Assistant. This position is event centric position - mostly evenings & weekends. Responsible for setting up & executing all aspects of station events. Focus is on the interaction between the station, client & listeners. Part time position - 29 hrs/wk.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with station event planning & execution - as directed
  • Training/Instructing interns
  • Writing proposals & recaps
  • Set up & breakdown of remote broadcasts
  • Miscellaneous tasks as needed

Required Skills

  • Outgoing- enjoy working in a team environment
  • Flexible schedule
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer literate
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms
  • Must be able to lift at least 30lbs
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be comfortable driving/parking a cargo van

Required Experience

  • Background in EVENTS is strongly encouraged but not required
  • Comfort level with audio assembly and production
