Job Description

WESH 2 News, Orlando’s Hearst-owned station and NBC affiliate is looking for a Reporter. This is a position that calls for a journalist who has the command, smarts and dynamic storytelling skills necessary to shine in this ultra – competitive Breaking News market.  Your storytelling skills must cover the range from navigating in-depth special reports to owning the LIVE breaking news events that happen here daily.  Producing content and engaging on all platforms is also a must.  WESH 2 News Reporters are connected to the community through social media.  They report and post on our digital platforms in addition to our newscasts.   As a Reporter, you’ll be expected to pitch and deliver on the stories of the day as well as generate hard news enterprise stories.  We are a hardworking newsroom that works and succeeds as a team. Good teammates only need apply.

Required Skills

Qualifications Requirements:                                                         

  • Social Media skills
  • Contemporary Reporting Skills – broadcast and digital
  • Exceptional on-air communication ability     
  • Ability to cover breaking news in a LIVE setting

Required Experience

  • At least three years professional broadcast reporting experience
