Department Description:

The Audience Research and Analysis Department is responsible for supporting NBCU’s channels (Networks), content licensing (TVD) and International Productions (TVP) businesses, with audience based quantitative and qualitative research, in all international territories for all television platforms.

Role Purpose:

This role provides day to day support in terms of data runs and analysis to NBCU’s international television division. Its primary responsibilities are to support the Senior Research Manager, contributing to many aspects of audience reporting as it applies to NBCU’s respective business units in Asia

The intern will be responsible on the following areas:

• Primary responsibility is to assist Senior Research Manager with all day to day tasks covering Asia

• Assist in doing data runs using ratings software to help programming purchase decisions, scheduling as well as ad sales

• Learn how to interpret data and reach insightful conclusions

• Preferred but not a must: Translate and interpret data from Chinese to English

• Perform other tasks as needed and handle any special projects if required


* Ability to commit for 6 months from 2 January 2018 - 29 June 2018

• Advanced MS Powerpoint and Excel skills and ability to learn new software quickly and with ease

• Demonstrated mathematics skills; Analytical and comfortable working with numbers

• Detail oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills

• Good report writing skills

• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines

• Excellent communication and a great team player

• Ready to learn and is and highly motivated

• Highly preferred: Ability to read Chinese (but not a must)
