**Responsibilities**

Role Purpose

The Risk Manager, CFS is responsible for all aspects of mitigating Accounts Receivable risk in the cash cycle for NBCU Ad Sales and fulfilling related financial analysis, reporting, and controllership requirements, including probable defaults, bad debt, revenue deferral, and escheatment. The Risk Manager also oversees the credit review process for new and existing customer accounts. The Risk Manager reports directly to the Vice President, Customer Financial Services, and provides support in development of enterprise-wide credit risk platform and automation initiatives.



Responsibilities

• Provide actionable risk analysis and predictive modeling to proactively mitigate bad debt for ad sale receivables for NBCU Broadcast, Entertainment, Sports, and News platforms.

• Own Bad Debt Reserve and Revenue Deferral processes and calculation. Perform due diligence on AR prior to write-off/recovery of bad debt.

• Ability to build relationships across Finance teams and proactively communicate pacing to Director/VP level executives is essential.

• Manage the credit research process, including supervision of Credit Analyst. Accountable for the integrity of customer master data in SAP Accounts Receivable platform.

• Co-lead enterprise-wide credit risk platform on relevant customers and vendors, utilizing credit and EDF scores. Optimize service contracts with credit rating agencies.

• Manage projects to simplify the accounts receivable customer setup and credit review processes.

• Manage accounts sent to third-party collection agencies.

• File and maintain bankruptcy claims and subsequent legal requirements. Partner with NBCU Legal in defense of preference claims. Manage escheatment submissions.

• Perform SOX testing for Bad Debt process.

• Provide guidance to auditors and divisional finance teams on credit, bad debt, revenue deferral, and escheatment processes and reporting.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in risk management or management consulting. (Media or Advertising industry a plus.)

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial analysis, using quantitative models to identify trends and provide benchmarking analysis.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in recording, reporting financial transactions in a major Financial System, preferably SAP.

• Advanced excel skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Access. SAS a plus.

• Proficiency in writing basic database programming.

• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience

• Excellent communication skills.

**Desired Characteristics**

• Proficiency in interpreting Moody’s and Dun and Bradstreet risk scores and related analytics and methodology

• Graduate from Comcast/NBCU Leadership programs (FMLP or CAAT)

• Ability to succinctly articulate "walk" and key drivers on financial results.

• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers. Team player.
