**Responsibilities**

Role Purpose

Role Purpose

The Senior Director of Finance is a leadership role on the NBC Sports Regional Networks finance and accounting team, reporting to the CFO, NBC Regional Sports Networks, the GM of NBC Sports Bay Area & California, and the GM of NBC Sports Northwest, with oversight over all financial aspects for those respective networks. This role plays an integral part in supporting the executive leadership team of the Bay Area and Northwest operations.



Responsibilities



+ In partnership with the GMs, own all analytical and financial aspects of the business, including market dynamics, strategic and operational risks and opportunities

+ Own and oversee financial operations of the business, including balance sheets, P&Ls and operating and capital budgets and forecasts, working closely with RSN HQ finance in Stamford

+ Own and ensure proper business controls, including general ledger accounting activities and multiple platform interfaces

+ Provide financial guidance and business oversight for operational and strategic decisions/initiatives within each network; collaborate with operational leaders (Programming, Editorial Digital, and Technology) to evaluate production spend, risks and opportunities

+ Work closely with operational leaders and 3rd party vendors to ensure revenue and spend stays within plan

+ Oversee and manage headcount, payroll, and travel

+ Drive implementation and enforcement of corporate and Sports Group division initiatives, policies, and finance/accounting procedures, including expense report, travel, budgeting, and cash management policies

+ Supervise the activities and develop team of 3 finance professionals

+ Interact and provide financial support to executive team and their direct reports

+ Work with the Tax department to ensure proper withholding and tax treatments

+ Establish and maintain partnerships with other divisions such as Tax, Legal, HR, EHS and Risk Management, to ensure compliance will all policies and regulations

+ Strong analytical and project management skills to support ad hoc projects as necessary

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Basic Qualifications



+ BA/BS 4-year degree in business, accounting or finance

+ Minimum of 7 years of Finance and Accounting experienceAdditional Qualifications

+ Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

+ Ability to strategically partner with Business Leaders and work with cross-functional Teams on complex business initiatives

+ Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize and meet deadlines with accuracy

+ Demonstrated analytical strength and process mindset with ability to identify and resolve key issues quickly with limited over-sight

+ Strong leadership skills required

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfort and experience with Senior Executives

+ Ability & flexibility to work well with a diverse team

+ Financial Reporting Experience

+ Willingness to work from San Francisco, CA with travel to regular trips to Portland, OR and Stamford, CT as required

+ Strong Project Management and Analytical SkillsEligibility Requirements
