JOB SUMMARY: Acts as a liaison between Operations and Universal Creative Project Teams. Assists Project Teams with oversight of the design, construction, build out and operational transition of all new attractions to ensure that Operations’ requirements are incorporated. Manages full life cycle projects including operational queue and team member facility design, construction, staffing, commissioning, training, and grand opening operations. Oversee the new venue management team during Commissioning, Training, and Opening prior to handing venue over to the park.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:





+ In collaboration with Universal Creative, provide operational input and operationally design new attractions, and attraction updates, that meet ASTM, OSHA, and Universal Operational specifications, while ensuring that all operational needs are met for all operational support groups. Responsible for reviewing Ride Technology Design, Facility Design, Construction Drawings and Operational Training Materials creation, revisions, and management.



+ Manage the opening of new venues. Includes overseeing staffing, training material, commissioning management, and collaboration with the Marketing Events, and Public Relations team to ensure a smooth opening. Instrumental in closing of venues for Creative Obsolescence work, and for new Attraction Development. Manages staffing relocation, announcement plan, and salvage plan.



+ Oversee Obsolescence Attraction Upgrades. Create an understanding of the existing venue, and work with Universal Creative to ensure creative design intent is met, while maintaining or improving operational performance. Work with the park to identify and understand areas of potential improvements and work to incorporate those into the UC plan.



+ Manage Operations Budgeting and Equipment Purchasing, Design, and Manufacturing, including 3D glasses, and any new equipment needed for new attractions.



+ Oversee new Attraction Punch list and Sustainability. After a ride is opened, manage the punch list, and the long term sustainability of all operational issues that occur in the first six months of operation.









Additional information:Manages the Manager of new Attractions, who manages 2-5 supervisory positions. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.







SCOPE: High level of decision-making. Influences decisions requiring high degree of tact. Budget management is essential. High level of operational planning. Strong focus on scheduling, and projecting future milestones.

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Presentation/Facilitation Skills: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and large group situations to clients, and other employees of the organization.



+ Knowledge of ASTM, and OSHA policy, and ability to interpret internal procedures.



+ Computer Skills: Individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

EDUCATION:





+ High school degree or GED: Required



+ Technical school: Not Required



+ Associate’s degree (AA)(list discipline(s)):Required

EXPERIENCE:





+ 7 years of management experience, including:



+ Front Line Operation Supervision: 3-5 years



+ Project Management: 1 year



+ Attraction Management: 3-5 years



+ or equivalent combination of education and experience.









CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS





+ ASTM, NAARSO certifications preferred.
