**Responsibilities**

We are making great strides in our monolith-to-microservices journey, and we want strong, experienced engineers to help us accelerate that transformation.



You would be a core member of the team responsible for this. That means you would:



Design, architect, and code microservices for the -ilities

Scalability

Maintainability

Visibility

Deployability

Analyze, refactor, and improve legacy code to facilitate clean separation of concerns

Evangelize lean, agile, and DevOps practices to promote team efficiency

Mentor other engineers in modern software principles and practices

Help lead Agile ceremonies (Standups, Retros, Sprint Planning)

**Qualifications/Requirements**

What you have done:



Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience

5+ years of professional experience with .NET, Java, and/or server-side JavaScript

3+ years delivering production code for backend services in an Agile Team

2+ years in high volume, large scale systems and/or eCommerce platforms

What you know:



Master of OOP, Data Structures, and the SOLID Principles

Fluent with Windows and Linux

3+ Years experience with Relational and/or NoSql databases

3+ years experience with Unit Testing and Test Driven Development (TDD)

2+ years experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and/or Microservices

2+ years experience with Agile software delivery (Scrum, Kanban, XP)

1+ years experience with Java, preferably with Spring and SpringBoot

1+ years experience with .NET

1+ years experience with cloud deployment (preferably AWS)

Strong understanding of REST, HTTP and the Web

Has worked with two or more of the following

Scripting Languages: Javascript, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.

VM Languages: Java, C#, Scala, Kotlin, etc.

Functional Languages: Clojure, Lisp, Erlang, Functional Java/Scala, Node.js etc.

The Web: HTML, CSS, jQuery, etc.
