The TV Distribution Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, documentation and testing of business processes, requirements, functional specification and data flow for TV licensing and distribution application. This position will report to the Director, TVD Sales Technology and be based in Universal City, CA.

SAFE application is a critical and highly visible project within NBCUniversal. It is a very large and complex custom developed system that has been in production for 18 years and is the central system that runs a multi-billion dollar business. Technology platform is Microsoft’s .NET framework and database is Microsoft SQL Server 2016.

Job Duties

+ Develop and support Sales/Finance applications for TV Licensing and Distribution.

+ Serve as key contact to user community, overseeing the collection and validation of business requirements for Sales/Financial application initiatives.

+ Assume liaison role between business users and technical team, providing single point of contact for all project and support activities.

+ Lead the business requirements gathering and functional design sessions and produce business requirements and functional specification documentation.

+ Develop detailed design specification documents that can be used by systems analysts, designers and developers. Support the technical teams throughout the design, development and implementation phases.

+ Analyze and create model for database schemas.

+ Ability to read and understand database objects like SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Triggers.

+ Lead testing initiative by developing test plans and coordinating the resolution of bug fixes and production defects.

+ Track, research, and prioritize all issues, communicate regular progress and status on issues, and resolutions to management via written reports.

+ Coordinate user acceptance testing and conduct user training.


Basic Qualifications

+ Minimum 7 years experience in professional roles within Information Technology.

+ Minimum 5 years experience in a customer- or business-facing role.

+ Minimum 3 years experience in a role supporting development and production support function.

+ Minimum 3 years of experience with relational databases and proficiency with SQL.

+ Clearly demonstrated written and oral communication skills.Additional Job Requirements
