Support the Engineering and Technical Services Teams with property-wide inspection of electrical systems that are installed, modified or repaired on Venue equipment and Facilities owned equipment. This includes verifying design of high voltage electrical systems and compliance with electrical codes, standards, jurisdictional compliance, city ordinances and other state regulations.

The Supervisor must have strong electrical knowledge and skills as an electrical inspector. They must visit construction areas and venue sites to perform inspections and make recommendations for improvement to the electrical system with improved safety.


• Supervise the electrical inspection team to inspect electrical systems, components and safe practices throughout UO buildings, Venues and construction sites. The Supervisor area of responsibility will include new, relocated or replaced work as well as modifications to ride equipment and or vehicles.

• Approve or disapprove work observed; issue correction notices; issue stop work orders; generate inspection records to confirm and document that each aspect of construction, alteration or repair complies with applicable codes, regulations, policies and approved plans.

• Review proper preventive maintenance by ensuring PM Job Plans are completed according to appropriate policies and procedures. The Supervisor will assist with troubleshooting electrical systems, conducting root cause analyses, mitigating future occurrences, applying electrical theory to devices with calculations and improving the safety of the electrical systems.

• Support the Electrical Inspector Manager’s comprehensive training course for Engineers and Technical Services Team Members that covers electrical inspections, codes, power quality problems, types of circuitry, high voltage, electrical system design, testing of electrical parts, electrical hazards, etc.

• Lead the assembly of all appropriate documentation for the wiring and/or equipment to be inspected including schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment cut sheets and OEM wiring information. Provide the highest standards of safety, reliability and quality for all electrical systems on property.

• Assist Management in the creation and modification of policies / procedures for inspections, establishing a clear path of future policies, providing direction and enforcing policies/procedures.

• Coordinate and facilitate intra-department partners and external resources to encourage friendly working relationships for everyone including: Ride & Show, Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities, Finance and outside vendors.

• Support the Engineering TSAT representative to help with TSAT initiatives and the improvements in Engineering’s TSAT results each year.

• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

SCOPE: Responsible for a Supervision of the Electrical Inspection Team to provide property-wide inspections of wiring, electrical equipment that is installed, modified or repaired on Venue equipment and facility equipment to provide increased safety and reliability. The Supervisor will help to define inspections, maintenance methods, techniques, equipment and processes. The Supervisor will coordinate these changes to Technical Services, Facility, Operations and other groups. The supervisor will prepare daily status, special project reports and charts for improving electrical safety throughout the parks.

The Supervisor will be part of the electrical expert team to provide direction, develop solutions and implement new electrical technology with a focus on electrical safety for UO.

• An Associate’s Degree (AA) in Electrical Field is required

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Field is preferred.

• Special training in the Electrical Inspection Field is preferred


Required – Master Electrician’s License.

Preferred – Certified Electrical Inspector (CEI) or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years demonstrated of electrical installation in a commercial environment for the development of systems in a theme park industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.



1. Proficient analytical electrical skills with a logical approach to problem solving, calculations, troubleshooting capabilities and perform calculations for design to meet Electrical code standards.

2. Proficient background knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), Underwriters Laboratories Standards (UL), Florida’s Building Code relating to electrical, best electrical practices, knowledge of the permitting and inspection processes of the AHJ.

3. Proficient in Safety Critical Systems, Electrical Drawings and Technical Documents.

4. Demonstrated ability to lead team members effectively to accomplish the electrical inspection and Engineering mission on safety.

5. Strong ability to interact with other Engineering, Technical Services and Maintenance Department disciplines.
