Responsible for assisting to supervise the operation of quick service branded restaurants. Ability to create and foster a cohesive team while demonstrating organizational, planning, delegation, mentoring and coaching skills.

Essential Functions

•Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding food quality, safety, labor, employment, and Union guidelines, as well as Company policies and procedures.

•With the direction of the Restaurant Managers, execute strategic plans to optimize operational profits while maintaining quality, cleanliness and Guest Service standards.

•Supports the employee and guest satisfaction programs and ensures the staff understands the importance of the programs.

•Provides Leadership & Direction of all hourly staff and Seasonal Supervisory staff of both Front of House & Back of House Team Members

•Ensures company compliance with Union contracts regarding employee work conditions, maintaining discipline and replacing open shifts

•Mentors, counsels and holds team members accountable to appropriate USH policies and procedures ensuring compliance of departmental standards.

•Responsible for supervising employee’s workflow, setting leadership standards, and guiding work locations efficiency. Builds internal relationships ensure our employees are exceeding expectations.

•Observes, critiques, and adjusts the daily functions of both departmental personnel and standard operating procedures to provide quality guest service.

•Meet or exceed weekly budgeted operational results to include cost of goods, variable labor, and safety. Adjust operations as necessary to meet expectations and drives business to exceed budgeted goals

•Maintain a clean, safe and professional work area.

•Ensure proper hiring and training practices of all team members is executed to standard.

•Drive the Food Operations Purpose Statement & Focus Points and hold self and others accountable to it

•Performs other duties as assigned


•High School diploma

•Operational management/leadership experience with coffee house operation

•High Volume Quick Service (QSR) and/or Casual Dining (CSR) required

•Minimum 2 years’ experience Supervising a team of 10+ employees

•Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and nights in varying weather conditions.

•Food Handlers Card required

**Desired Characteristics**

•Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or business administration preferred/ or equivalent experience preferred

•Bar experience is a plus

•Training & Back of House experience a plus

•Proficient in Microsoft Application Suite

•Previous experience with food related Point of Service system (i.e. EATEC & Clarity)

•Strong customer service & interpersonal skills

•Organizational and analytical skills

•Demonstrated ability to work within a high paced and repetitive team environment

•Demonstrated ability to manage effectively & work well under pressure

•Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

•Must have excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
