**Responsibilities**

Our Digital Technology team is ultimately responsible for continuing to evolve our mission-critical digital ad tech stack and ensuring the day-to-day business operations across our ad sales planning + ad operations teams goes uninterrupted in order to support our multi-million dollar ad-sales portfolio. In addition, we are responsible for continuously monitoring our production environments to ensure the optimal end-user video ad experience across our STB, OTT, desktop and mobile platforms. In conjunction, we constantly strive to innovate and discover new ways in which we can optimize our overall business processes by implementing new tools, systems and/or processes to help manage and grow NBCU’s Digital business.



Responsibilities:

The Ad Integration and Architecture team is looking for a highly collaborative tech lead to manage ad integrations from a technical point of view. This is an exciting and completely NEW opportunity to the already existing Digital Technology group! The tech lead will serve as an internal technical consultant and subject matter expert on backend ad technology, systems and architecture, and will work alongside the Ad Product team to validate business requirements for technical feasibility. This role will work very closely with the product, brand engineering and QA teams to ensure that ad integrations go smoothly and meet the high standards of the NBCUniversal portfolio. This role would report to the Director of Ad Integration and Architecture.

• Responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications

• Responsible for baseline ad systems configurations for new apps / sites / partnerships

• Accountable for ensuring backend ad architecture and products meet the needs of a growing, ever-evolving business

• Understands the complexities and inherent limitations of the ad technology ecosystem and device landscape (web, mobile, OTT, Set Top Box, etc.)

• Identify opportunities to develop internal software products & tools to help increase efficiency, automation, and systems monitoring

• Responsible for bridging the gap between ad product and QA; creating test cases to ensure features work as expected and ad integrations are sound

• Keep up to date with new IAB/MRC specifications, technologies and industry initiatives

• Work with ad product and central/brand tech teams to dictate implementation best practices and influence architectural design

• Collaborate with business users and internal technology partners to align platforms and services with key business priorities ensuring products, programs and projects are delivered on time and within budget managing risks appropriately with proactive mitigation and communication

• Foster team culture and professional growth through leadership opportunities, collaboration, and team mentoring

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Qualifications/Requirements:

● Bachelor's Degree

● 4+ years of relevant ad server + ad integration experience, implementing dynamic ad insertion within desktop, mobile app, STB and OTT environments

● Experience/knowledge across the various FreeWheel ad integration types (server side vs. client side)

● Experience troubleshooting Ad Serving issues, running Charles sessions, evaluating ad calls and event triggers

● Understands difference between HTML Ad Renderers, Video Ad Renderers, VAST Translators, VPAID Renderer and Uberlay Renderer

● A passion for solving complex system and data challenges and desire to thrive in a constantly innovating and changing environment

● Proven track record of translating organizational strategy into actionable technology solutions that drive operational excellence while enabling synergistic growth and organizational scale

● Ability to partner and influence key business stakeholders at all levels of the organization
