**About Us** NBCUniversal is launching a new Telemundo-owned station in Washington, D.C. This project will expand NBC Washington / WRC-TV’s news staff with a new team of Spanish-speaking and bilingual journalists to launch the new station. Both news teams will serve local Spanish- and English-speaking viewers in the greater Washington, D.C. region. The new Telemundo station team will work closely with WRC-TV’s team members in the existing facility that is home to NBC Washington.

NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations is the division of NBCUniversal that includes 30 NBC and Telemundo local television stations, a regional news network and their associated websites and digital platforms, as well as a group of out-of-home properties, a production company, an in-house marketing and promotions company and two national multicast networks, COZI TV and TeleXitos. The local stations, which can be viewed in 37 percent of U.S. homes and in Puerto Rico, produce and deliver their local communities compelling and unique local news, real-time weather forecasts, consumer and investigative reports and entertainment programming across all platforms to help keep their English and Spanish-speaking audiences informed anytime and anywhere.

The Traffic Specialist is responsible for providing support and assistance to Account Managers in all phases of the sales process.

Responsibilities include:

+ Edit Daily logs to maximize revenue and adhere to station directives while fulfilling client expectations

+ Distribute material reports, process & confirm day of air changes, and investigate/resolve broadcast process & defect notifications

+ Work with corporate sales operations team on divisional initiatives and workflow

+ Maintain inventory codes for sales orders and for inventory & revenue reporting purposes

+ Monitor receipt of agency materials and agency traffic instructions from multiple sources

+ Match up commercial copy and instructions to the correct sales contract

+ Generate daily “missing material instruction” report for multiple days. Follow up on missing materials and instruction with agencies, clients and/or sales reps

+ Assign internal house numbers for commercial ingest

+ Correctly input client instructions and enter material instruction into traffic system

+ Prepare, check and download daily electronic dub-list for HUB ingest

+ Maintain HUB server content via regular electronic purge file creation

+ Make required day of air copy changes

+ Accurately reconcile and post daily logs – compare uploaded Probel as-run billing file against traffic system log

+ Edit and upload commercials to the HUB via various digital delivery services

+ Assist with department coverage


Basic Qualifications

+ Minimum 1 year television traffic experience

+ Minimum 1 year of experience working in a sales support capacity

+ Minimum 1 year experience working with MS Office tools

+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) both written and verbal preferred

+ Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing and/or equivalent experience

+ Must be willing to work at the station in Washington, D.C.

+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

+ Must be 18 years or older

+ Previous use of Wide Orbit Traffic system a plus

+ Knowledge of TV traffic operation functions preferred

+ High level of attention to detail, accuracy and speed

+ Team player who also can work independently and is a self-starter
