We are currently looking for a talented VP Creative to lead our marketing team. The VP Creative is the primary architect of the brand look, feel and voice. They are charged with ownership and cross-functional executive strategic leadership of the Universal Kids brand this includes all digital, social, print and broadcast marketing materials. He/she leads the organization toward the brand vision, creates buy-in and nurtures innovation. This position reports to the SVP, Marketing & Digital.

This leader is responsible for guiding an internal creative team responsible for creative design, copy, social media, influencer engagement, brand, content, video, photography as well as external contractors and agencies.

• As the primary owner and architect of the Universal Kids brand look and feel, strategically aligns and partners with cross-functional executives across marketing, PR, Programming, Digital and Marketing to ensure the brand direction and all outputs of the brand are consistent and strategically aligned.

• Builds and develops all content needed to support broadcast, mass media, video, photography, user generated, vendor, influencer, copy and rich digital and social-specific needs from internal and external sources.

• Oversees and leads all creative projects and appropriately direct workloads and priorities across creative department of internal and external resources to ensure all creative needs from the company are met.

• Coaches and instructs teams to drive for continual improvement in process and creative output through feedback and insights (internal and external). Leverages focus groups, quantitative messaging and creative testing, etc. to understand how programs/communications are and aren’t working and to drive continual improvements and enhancements of all creative output.

• Leads, directs, coaches, mentors and motivates a diverse team. Provides role clarity, restructures/re-organizes and prioritizes focus for the department as needed and makes tough calls when necessary.

• Constantly works to improve the creative development process, technology and tools. Challenges team to think differently to problem solve for more efficient and effective creative and marketing delivery.

• Sets and manages department budgets and ensures all projects are delivered on time and on budget.



• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in advertising, journalism, writing or graphic design

• 15+ years creative experience across marketing vehicles including digital and social.

• 10+ years’ experience managing people and teams

• 5+ years experience as creative director or creative leader

• 3+ years leading or generating content development in photography, video and or social
