Job Description

KSBW-TV is searching for a weekend Evening Anchor/General Assignment Reporter to join our award winning, Hearst Television news team covering the Salinas/Monterey/Santa Cruz market.

Our Reporters work with Photographers to deliver hard-hitting news coverage that drives the rest of the market to play catch-up. The position includes: Anchoring Saturday and Sunday evening newscasts; Reporting weekends and three additional days during the week; producing content for and KSBW social media sites. Qualified candidates will have a college degree in a journalism or communications related field. Preference is given to those with prior television reporting and anchoring experience. This is not an entry level position! Applications must include resume, references and samples of on-air work.

Job Responsibilities                                                 

  • Anchoring weekend evening ( 6pm & 11pm ) newscasts; reporting, writing news stories for air , for and KSBW social media sites
  • Reporting, writing news stories. On air reporting of news stories.      

Required Skills

  • Professional television newsroom experience preferred


  • College degree (in journalism related field) or equivalent work experience
